Canada will burn your cities like they burn their coffee

The sun never sets on the Canadian Empire.
First America.
Then Britain.
Now Mexico.
Soon the world.

Canadian coffee is worse than Starbucks?

Roasted!

Coming soon: weak coffee and gross food!

Can’t be worse than Dunkin Donuts.

timmies coffee took a turn for the worst when they changed suppliers. McDicks took over their old suplier and their coffee is actually pretty good these days.
![]() 01/12/2018 at 17:09 |

is it significantly worse than Starbucks? at least there’s a real competitor now when it comes to horrible coffee and decent food (at least Mexican Starbucks)
If I want coffee, I got Cielito or Capeltic, one is very easy to find, the other you need a red card to enter!
![]() 01/12/2018 at 17:12 |

Technically no, because Tim Horton’s is owned by Burger King.

Unless they (Canadians) melt first:

ah, yes... I was waiting for this comment! Please research where Restaurant Brands International is headquartered....

Personally I still prefer Starbucks’ americano because its significantly stronger but at $2 (for the equivalent venti size) it’s decent for a dark roast coffee. Not as dark as McDonalds, but the double double is their staple.
But I’ve been drinking TH all my life so there’s that.
![]() 01/12/2018 at 17:16 |

I never order coffee at Starbucks, only tea and food. If I want coffee I go to Cielito which is actually good, or the organic coffee shop inside my university, which is fucking amazing and cheaper than either Starbucks or Cielito!
![]() 01/12/2018 at 17:18 |

If I drank starbucks, took a leak and drank that, it would still be 5 times stronger than timmy’s.

“Sorry we burned your home there eh”

Mexico is a very different market than Canada; here Mcdonalds and Burger King are seen as normal level restaurants, not cheap like in the US and Canada.
Starbucks is seen as a high level shop, so they have a shit ton of very different and special coffee and its substantially better than the one sold in the US*! I suppose that if Tim Hortons wishes to compete here it needs to settle itself at around the same level as Starbucks or higher!
*: Despite being substantially better than the coffee sold in the US, Mexican coffee shops and local coffee providers still make better coffee!
![]() 01/12/2018 at 17:23 |

Did they just skip the US altogether?
Also, if Starbucks is your baseline for “mediocre,” prepare for a life of disappointment. Starbucks is among the best quality multinational food joints.

I raise you what I answered in another comment:

Look man, with coffee it goes the way that beaches go: Miami has nice beaches... but you’re bound to loose if you’re competing with Tulum!

They said that to the natives and French as well :/

Yeah.... oops.

The coffee is meh. Can’t drink it black or it tastes like ass.
The food is constantly getting worse and it wasn’t good to start with.
There is Tim’s in the U.S. but mostly near the Canadian border.

How do you say “poutine” in Spanish?
Follow-up, do they sell poutine in Mexico? Because they really should.

The sun never sets on the Canadian Empire.
Only because the sun never sets in the arctic in the summer lol

I think poutine falls under the same shameful position that tacos fall into: Its only good in the home country!
I think we just say poutine, although I’ve never seen it on sale here personally.
![]() 01/12/2018 at 17:57 |

Dang. Now I want poutine AND tacos...
![]() 01/12/2018 at 17:58 |

You see, this is why NAFTA should look more like the European Union; free movement of Tacos and Poutine across borders!
![]() 01/12/2018 at 18:08 |

there is nothing better than tacos in central Mexico
![]() 01/12/2018 at 18:11 |

I’d vote for that in a heartbeat.

Have you tried grilled Guachinango cooked seaside as you dig your feet in sand and quench your thirst with an ice cold Pacifico beer?

I’ve seen Tim Hortons in the US before. Granted it was on a military base but otherwise are they not located elsewhere?

That actually reminds me of an idea I had a while back - poutine done in the style of a taco. French fries, sour cream, cheese, a bit of shredded pork, and a drizzle of lime juice, and maybe a dash of cilantro.
![]() 01/13/2018 at 09:52 |
|
I’d eat exactly 17 of them.
![]() 01/13/2018 at 12:32 |

Now I wantpoutine IN a taco made from bacon.
Droooooolllll......
